Activated carbon is one of the most effective media for removing a wide range of contaminants from industrial and municipal waste waters, landfill leachate and contaminated ground. As the world’s most powerful adsorbent, it can cope with a wide range of contaminants. Different contaminants may be present in the same discharge and carbon may be used to treat the total flow, or it may be better utilized to remove specific contaminants as part of a multistage approach.

As with potable water, Ceycarb has a dedicated reactivation facility that handles industrial grades of spent carbon. If required, the spent carbon can be returned and kept segregated – custom reactivation of the carbon can be taken from, and returned to, an industrial pool of carbon.

In general, certain level of free chlorine have to be  maintained in order to guarantee adequate disinfection considerable amounts of organic matter are introduced in to pool  water namely by bathers urine and sweat. Hence, the removal of disinfection by products such as trihalomethanes (THM) , Haloacetic acids (HAAS ) , AOX , chloroamines and organic compounds is required in swimming pool water treatment.

Waste water treatment has become very important now a days and activated carbon consumption for adsorption of toxic substances and pollutants that are not easily bio-degradable , and removal of micro pollutants, COD  and AOX (Adsorbable Organic Halogens  ) colour and odour  gaining steadily in importance.

Removing of odours emitted from waste water and sewage treatment plants

Waste water and sewage treatment plants emit  malodours compounds which are needed to be removed before it spread to the atmosphere.

Ceycarb offers you different grades of activated carbon products to eliminate such malodourus compounds such as Ammonia, H2S , mercaptans , aldihydes , methylamine , acetic acid , organic vapours etc.

In ornamental fish farming and in hatcheries, water is contaminated with toxins due to animal  excrement and  decomposing foods.

Ceycarb offers special products for removing such pollutants and treatment of aquarium water.

For industries such as beverages and certain food processing, water is an essential raw material which is needed to be purified with intensive care. In other uses of water for  process  applications   like boiler feed water treatment  and condensate and contact water treatment applications, water has to be treated.

Ceycarb offers different grades including water washed, acid washed carbon with low silica content and low iron content.

Boiler Feed water Treatment

Properly treated water has to be fed to the boilers in order to prevent problems such as:
